Services
The Mortgage Company Nottingham has been established around 30 years overall.
It currently consists of a team of thirteen, with a combined experience of over one hundred and eighty years in the financial services industry.
The team includes seven mortgage brokers, three administrators, two paraplanners and a specialised Buildings and Contents Advisor.
Our favourite part of the job is seeing how happy our clients are when they have received an honest, ethical and jargon free service.
You can get to know a bit more about our team members here.
Tim has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1996 and is fully FPC and CeMAP qualified and has a wealth of experience in both the Mortgage and Insurance markets.
Tim is married with a daughter and lives in Derbyshire, in his spare time he enjoys playing golf and supporting his favourite football team.
Starting out with the Halifax dealing with queries from clients with existing mortgages, he became a mortgage arrears counsellor, and then a mortgage underwriter.
After almost 8 years on the administrative side of mortgages, he became fully CeMAP qualified in 2000 and has helped clients for over 15 years in arranging their mortgages.
The mortgage company originally helped me get my first time buyer mortgage and have actually helped me remortgage twice since then.
Each time they've found the best deal that was right for me and provided excellent customer service throughout.
I'd especially like to thank Tim and Tara for going above and beyond to answer all of my questions and sorting everything quickly and efficiently.
Thank you for your help support and advice.
Finally we got our house sorted and we do really appreciate your help, especially Tom ( Tom Appleyard) and Cassie ( Cassie Turner).
Home Mover Mortgages can be used when you want to move home or just to change your existing lender or mortgage deal.
Porting is where you transfer your existing mortgage to your new property when you move home.
Most, but not all lenders offer this option, which enables you to stay with your mortgage deal for your new home.
When you port your mortgage, you will need a new mortgage offer, so, although you're keeping the same mortgage, there's an additional application with arrangement fees, valuation fees and stamp duty.
If you purchase a residential property with the intention to rent it out for profit, you will need to use a Buy to Let mortgage.
It is sometimes possible to change a standard residential mortgage to a Buy to Let, if you decide you want to rent out your own home, but you cannot personally live in any property that you own which has a Buy to Let mortgage.
There are a few additional criteria to meet to obtain a Buy to Let Mortgage, compared with a standard residential mortgage.
In addition to the additional acceptance criteria, a Buy to Let mortgage also has a higher deposit requirement of 25% and higher arrangement fees than a standard residential mortgage.
